From my heart to yours. In the special times, we live in right now it seems harder to see a clear path because things are uncertain. Now more than ever your faith is being tested. All the hard work you have done, the new clients who have joined you on your journey to support you and your business, the new pilates class you had just joined which made you feel amazing, the new job you just got had been written – off again.

You have to believe. In the middle of all this chaos, whether you are concerned about getting a new job, what is the best way to stay in touch with your clients or how will you stay healthy and fit with this isolation. You have to believe!

Yes, you used to be able to do things a certain way before all of this Covid 19 happened.

Believe in yourself and know that you just need to understand that this challenge is to overcome just like any other challenge that had knocked you off balance before. Believe in the opportunity and open the door to solutions. I am sure you are doing things right now which you have never done before. And that is amazing!

You are going to look back onto this time right now and be amazed at how well you have managed to flow with this challenge and make the best of this time.

Growing in times of discomfort. When Life pushes us into uncomfortable situations we have to stay connected to our hearts. Believe in your journey, even if you feel discouraged. Believe in taking this time as a gift to connect deeper to find out what powers you can bring out from within. Believe in bringing a better version out of yourself. Believe that you are learning a better way to deal with this right now. Believe that you are giving yourself everything you need right now. Believe that what you do right now is amazing and will change your situation.

Believe in your efforts you are doing but be kind to yourself. Do it from a place of peace. Take your steps with a smile on your face as if there is no tomorrow. Bring your light out to make sure the world can see it and feels attracted to you. Believe in your light. Worship your light. You have come such a long way. You have helped so many people already. You have so much to give. With your happy heart, you are creating more happiness around you.

You know, the best times you can have, are the times when you are completely yourself. The pure, honest, self – loving, kind-hearted and giving self. Nurture yourself with everything you need. You might not be able to socialize right now as you are used to and your goals seem further away right now. Lift your head up, literally, lookup to change your point of view, to lighten your shoulders and gain an uplift. It sends a message to your subconscious and is a very powerful tool to not stay stuck in these discouraging feelings.

A way to bring ease to your mind is to keep sending positivity to your subconscious by planting your seeds from your heart.

When you feel like you have a little bit too many worries on your mind and you realize it. That is already awesome. You are not powerless. In fact, you can plant your seed by simply staying or sitting still ( when you allow your body to become still, it sends a powerful message to the nervous system – “it is time to relax” ) for a moment and understand that you are in loving control and that your mind needs to rest now. You tell your mind to relax, lookup, smile, visualize your beautiful kind heart, tell yourself you are going to be ok, you are relaxing and taking care of yourself. Continue doing this until it becomes familiar to you. It will be strange to do this in the beginning but it will become second nature to you.

Believe that you are in loving control of your life situation at any moment. Believe in yourself from the bottom of your heart. Write it down! Believe! Love yourself again and again.

Yoga is to stop or to dissolve the fluctuations of the mind

Don’t fight with the mind. – Jnana Yoga wisdom or knowledge The idea of jnana centres around a cognitive event which is recognized when experienced.

Observe your thoughts. Observe your emotions. Observe your actions. We try to detach from the mental chaos.

In the yoga practice, you may feel some discomfort at first, and emotions can take over, your mind starts thinking. Most of the time we are reactive rather than pro-active: the mind’s propositions are our marching orders. Gently close your eyes, focus on your breath. Practising awareness. Observing your emotions, and watching them leave again. Like waves in the ocean. Or how I like to see it, – “a river just flows, so do my emotions”. Allowing yourself to feel the emotion, acknowledge it and without judging you allow yourself to be fully in this emotion. It’s an awakening inner practice for cultivating self-love. This takes place in search of understanding the self.

Yoga is to stop or to dissolve the fluctuations of the mind.

Start making a healthy pattern, this is called – Tapas – in the poetic language of Sanskrit. The word Tapas is derived from the root Sanskrit verb ‘tap’ which means ‘to burn’, and evokes a sense of ‘fiery discipline’ or ‘passion’. You will discover patterns within. Breaking patterns will lead to discomfort, with Tapas, so with this fire to want to grow and become a better version of yourself, you will break pattern after pattern.

Please remember that this is Jnana Yoga – wisdom or knowledge

Especially in times like now!

Hearing the news on the radio about a virus ( Covid19 ) which has spread. And that the whole world has gone into hermit crab mode.

Now, this is such an unexpected situation. Emotions are completely entitled to act up here. I feel it!

Take a huge step back and see the big picture. Everyone is in the same boat as you – first you can understand that this is not a bad thing that only happened to you but it’s global and you feel empathy.

This helps in a positive way to connect.

This situation has a big impact on a lot of areas of our lives right now and not what you or what I had planned. Remembering that Life is bigger. I invite you to give yourself the understanding, the support, the way you process this in the most loving, kind way. You are not alone.

Practising all of the above will plant a seed – Sankalpa – this means setting your intention. Traditionally only made during the practice of Yoga Nidra. Sankalpa is a short phrase or sentence, clearly and concisely expressed, using the same wording each time, to bring about a positive change in one’s life.

The intention of cultivating self-love. Your Sankalpa can be. I am loving, I am kind, I am calm.

Your subconscious mind understands your intentions and therefore cultivates whatever it is you are feeding your subconscious. This is very powerful. There are many tools for you to use. Many practices to develop your own true growth to become a better version of yourself.

With the whole world locked down “if you can’t go outside – go inside”

We are circling

This is a song which we often sang together in the Om Shanti Yoga Teacher Community in Spain.

I named my page inspired by the powerful singing circles together. I will share it here with you. You can use it as your Mantra if you like. You can practice being grateful for your voice to be able to sing this song. Practising raises your vibration. Singing is freeing and creates peace within.

” We are circling, circling together. We are singing, singing our heart song. This is family, this is unity. This is a celebration, this is sacred “

A song is a soul calling, is what I believe. I believe our voice is another amazing tool for us to express, to feel deeply and to connect ourselves.

When you were a baby, maybe your mum, dad and siblings sang to you, to put you to sleep and make you smile. When you celebrate someone‘s birthday you sing them a song, to create happiness. Every country has its own native song. Tribes have songs to communicate with each other because it’s part of their language. Singing is part of life.

Singing unites us. Not only in a physical world but also in a spiritual way. Sound is vibration, we are vibration and when we sing we simply vibrate.

You also release so-called happiness hormones! Yeah, your body makes chemicals. You create endorphins such as dopamine and serotonin in the brain ( there are more chemicals, but these are well known ). Which is great to know, by creating positive experiences, you activate these chemicals, you can increase your happiness.

This song to me is like a reminder of who I am. With this song, I time travel back to a sacred place where I felt so much love.

Watch from a distance and you will see with different eyes

Have you ever heard of the saying: “A painting looks more beautiful from a distance”?

If you haven’t tried this before, next time you are standing in front of a big painting or a big beautiful tree. What you do now is, take a couple of steps back, ease your gaze, relax your shoulders, feel the ground under your feet. You are fully present.

You look at this painting or this tree, you recognise it’s size, it’s volume, you slowly sensitise to the intensity of the vibrant colours, you start noticing the lines of the individual brush stroke or crack, maybe you even hear a noise louder than before and you know exactly what the sound is without even moving your eyes or head off the painting or tree. You might even start to feel like you live without time right at that moment. You become one with that moment.

You feel as if you have no more body but you are just existing in that space with everything around you. You almost feel as if the painting or that tree is connected to you. You become one.

Or maybe you are still looking at it, thinking how weird that I have never thought of this before, ( whatever pops up, it’s random ) you might have been triggered by looking at it.

And exactly like this, you are able to “look” at yourself again. It’s called awakening awareness, it comes from a place of love. It’s no – judging. You become a watcher of yourself.

This expanse your awareness and will help you grow.

When you step back, it will automatically create space and this space is essential for growth. You will see your own true beauty again.
